The works included in the Moon Phase series were first inspired by my time spent with indie rockers Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun. There are stories behind every piece with threads between them all.
Moon Phase ATL brought hundreds together to experience mixed media, live rock, and to help shape a unique sound installation - all in one room for one unforgettable night.

|Hosted at King Plow Arts Center, larger works for Moon Phase ATL were suspended in the historic facility just like rigging, speakers, and lights would be. Above, "Struttin That Ass" (2010) hangs alongside the stage setup just before doors opened.|
As a visitor tours the works, his or her movements throughout the space trigger samples and effects from a pre-selected collection. These sound samples and effects are molded together automatically and in real-time to create a unique sonic atmosphere. This soundscape is the direct result of the viewer's presence and movement in the space.
Later, the soundscape is quieted and Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun takes the stage for a full performance amid the works.
